Buildings in Thunder Brigade are large stationary structures that can act as objectives in a battle, provide secondary functions to tanks, defend themselves, and house tanks as storage. Buildings can be placed anywhere on the map (the map changes shape accordingly), and are available in both the campaign and scenario mode.

They are more vulnerable to plasma cannon, missiles, and missile strikes, than to rail guns or mines, and rely on tanks to defend them. Often in the campaign, buildings serve as the objective, to either be located, destroyed, or defended.

Types of building:[]

Command Centre[]

The command centre does nothing actually in game, but it is often a focal objective to destroy/defend in the game's campaign. They are large structures of medium toughness. So its very important to protect them from any enemy fire.

Missile Launcher[]

Missile launchers can provide missile strikes for laser designators as long as the target is in range and the path to the target is clear of opposing radar coverage. They are very vulnerable to damage, so must be protected carefully.

Weapons Bunker[]

Weapons Bunkers are stationary turrets, with powerful single shot rail guns attached to them. They rotate slowly to lock onto enemy tanks once the tank is in range, either of a nearby sensor tower or the turret's own sensors, as long as the tanks don't have stealth. They can pack quite a punch, but are easily outranged by missiles and so need to be protected from 'sniping.'

Sensor Tower[]

Sensor towers create a circle of radar coverage around themselves, that can be used to detect tanks, (including stealth tanks if they are close enough), provide information for Weapon Bunkers, and provide information to satellites to shoot down incoming missile strikes. They are therefore critical to a bases' effectiveness and survival, and are your first priority to destroy/defend as necessary. Sensor Towers are affected by their placement and nearby mountains; use this to your advantage.

Tank Depot[]

A tank depot is often the center-peice of many battles. It can house a fair few tanks, and usually has several protecting it. In gameplay it is similar to the command structure, as it is often a destroy/defend objective. Tank depots are very tough, however, and often require missiles to kill quickly. It is unclear if housing a tank in a Depot repairs said tank. Most depots have 6 entrances and are low to the ground, with the exception of the rebel depot.

Space Transport[]

Space transports function like depots in housing tanks and acting as an in-game objective. Space transports however are often used to introduce reinforcements for either side, appearing on the map and discharging its cargo. Space transports tend to be medium-sized with medium health, but destroying any part of the transport may actually destroy the tank held inside, or stop it appearing on the map when an offensive starts. So stopping damage being done to them is of upmost importance.

Miscellaneous Building[]

These buildings don't fall within the common variety of military buildings. Most they are civilian in nature, or set pieces for some missions.
